Keene Beauty Academy was founded in 1964 by Rutherford and Constance Trottier. In 1989, after 25 successful years the Trottiers retired and sold the Academy to Joanne Stark.

Joanne Stark owned and operated the Academy for five years. In 1994, Joanne's career took her to Arizona and the Academy was purchased by Kathy Hammond and Cara Down.

In 2009, Cara retired, and sold her half of the business to Jeanne Chappell, a long-time KBA instructor, who is now co-owner with Kathy Hammond.

In the past 46 years more than 1500 students have passed through the doors of Keene Beauty Academy to begin their careers in the field of Cosmetology.

Keene Beauty Academy has grown and prospered consistently throughout the years. The Academy enjoys its present status as a highly respected and accredited institution.
