Keene Beauty Academy's Esthetics Program consists of 600 hours of training. The objective of this program is to develop knowledge and skills in all areas of esthetics. Topics include:

- Reflexology & Massage
- Makeup
- Sanitation
In addition, we focus on the skills needed to succeed and grow in the field, such as:
- Client communications
- Business management
- State laws
- Human relations
- Personal development
School Facilities, Student Kit & Equipment
The school is designed with classrooms for academic studies, workshops, clinic areas, teacher's offices, a client reception area, and student lounge.
Students may purchase a kit of professional tools and texts from Keene Beauty Academy. Each kit contains all the items the student will need for his or her education.
Training Hours
Our program of study is approved by the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences, the New Hampshire State Board and the U.S. Department of Education. According to the requirements of the New Hampshire State Board of Cosmetology (and states with reciprocal agreements), the student must complete 600 hours of training in the following areas:
- State Laws & Regulations - 10 hours
- Professional Image & Salon Readiness- 45 hours
- Anatomy & Applied Science - 90 hours
- Bacteriology & Infection Control - 25 hours
- Textbook & Test- 20 hours
- Unassigned - 15 hours
- Skin, its Disorders & Analysis- 60 hours
- Facial Treatment & Practical Application - 125 hours
- Makeup Application & Cosmetic Chemistry- 45 hours
- Hair Removal - 25 hours
- Foot & Hand Treatment - 45 hours
- Clinic - 70 hours
- Complementary Therapies - 25 hours
Products Used
As a Dermalogica Partnership school, we use dermalogica professional and retail products to train our students. This gives our students a network of support, exceptional curriculum and connections to real world career opportunities.
